Next Saturday, Oct. 27, won't quite be a dogfight between "dress up your dog" events. In fact, if owners can cram Fido into a tutu for four or five hours, they can enter him in both Lake in the Hills' Doggy Costume Contest and Algonquin's Howl-O-Ween Dog Parade.
The LITH contest is at the Village's Bark Park on Haligus Road at 10 am. It's simply B.Y.O.D. (Bring Your Own Dog) only on a leash. Algonquin's parade will be at Village Hall at 1 pm but pre-registration ends Friday. A registration form's here: https://rec.algonquin.org/docs/registration%20form.pdf. The fee for residents is $5, non-residents $8.
