Huntley Fall Fest Ends On Banner Note

Huntley's seventh Fall Fest drew to a triumphant close Sunday.  "Oh, My God," said Co-Chair Lorie Nichols, "I would say it was 50 percent better than last year."  Fundraising specifics for the Huntley Parks Foundation and local community groups won't be known for a few days yet, though.

Shirtsleeve weather didn't hurt, Nichols said, but new daytime free admission proved to be a big plus for celebrants.  "They liked the variety of all our events," she said, "while we've still maintained the 'hometown' atmosphere that we've always had."

Thank you everyone for all of the hard work in planning and executing this year's outstanding Huntley Fall Fest. It was terrific!

And, thanks to everyone who stopped by the Sun City, Huntley tent to say "hello" and to talk with us. Many of our musical events are open to the public as are the upcoming Fall Consumer Show and the Art and Craft Show. Many people seemed to be unaware of that and we were happy to inform the residents of that.

We will be back next year,
