Algonquin's annual Old Time Country Harvest Day is coming up Saturday from 9 am to 4 pm but the event's going to be in a new location this year. Downtown Cornish Park will be the site of the festivities this time instead of the South Harrison Parking Facility.
The free event sponsored by the Downtown Algonquin Partnership will feature a farmers' market, a craft and vendor fair, a pumpkin dessert bake off, a scarecrow-building station (bring some old clothes) and kids games. Periodic walking tours of the Algonquin's historic Downtown are scheduled to start at 10 and a children's costume parade is set for 2 pm.
Non-perishable food donations to "Share the Harvest" will be collected on behalf of the Algonquin/Lake in the Hills Food Pantry. Event information and a listing of activities is here:

In the pic: This year's Algonquin Old Time Country Harvest Day will center at Cornish Park, not the Harrison parking lot.
