Algonquin Water Break Slows 31 Commuter Traffic
A water main break in Algonquin Tuesday afternoon left a few businesses and homes around Route Main Street and Huntington Drive without service but repair work bunched up traffic for a lot more homeward bound commuters. At about 8 pm A village crew performing exploratory surgery with a backhoe still hadn't found the break. At 10 pm a worker reported they were "getting close." Village Manager Bill Ganek said Tuesday evening, "They're going to be working through the night. It'll be back working by tomorrow."
