Algonquin Fall Recycling Set For Columbus Day Monday

Next Monday's The Village of Algonquin's Fall Recycling Drop Off Event at Presidential Park on the East Side from 9 am to 3 pm. Waste Management, Vintage Tech Recyclers, and Charity Pickup Service will cart off all the stuff that's typically not acceptable for curbside recycling.

The list of stuff recyclable at the event's exhaustive and available here:

Generally, though, residents can get rid of almost anything except household appliances, paint, carpet, mattresses, anything that can leak out of a car and construction debris.

Village staffers will be on hand to help figure out what goes in which dump area but they're not supposed to tote stuff, so residents are advised to bring along their own human forklifts for heavy stuff.

In the pic: Algonquin residents dropped off tons of stuff for recycling at least year's Fall Recycling Event.
