Trader Joe's Peanut Butter Recalled

The Trader Joe’s grocery chain with a store in Algonquin is voluntarily recalling its Creamy Salted Valencia Peanut Butter because of potential contamination with Salmonella the Kane County Health Department announced Monday. Customers who have purchased this item are urged to not either throw it away or return it for a full refund.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and state health agencies are investigating whether there are direct links between the peanut butter and reported illnesses.  All code dates are included in the recall, up to and including 26JUL13 (July 26, 2013). Customers with questions may contact Trader Joe’s Customer Relations at (626) 599-3817.
