Sun City Volunteers Place Flags For 9/11 Remembrance

About 60 volunteers Friday planted an American flag to mark every victim of the 9/11 attacks for Sun City's second 9/11 Anniversary Flag Memorial continuing through Tuesday. Last year's event was limited to one day but, "We just couldn't do it all last year," said organizer Catherine Porter.

Events to remember 9/11 are planned today through Wednesday (click for schedule). New this year will be a "Memory Walk" with luminaria at sunset 9/11, Tuesday.  Luminaria are still available purchase for the Walk for $2 by calling 847-669-9021.
