Grafton Township's Electronic Recycling event only collected about three cubic yards of obsolete and dud computer gear Saturday. Algonquin Township residents may end up bringing more next Saturday to Algonquin Township's Special Recycling event at the Township complex on Route 14.
It will be the next-to-last before the final collection this year, the last Saturday in October. Besides electronics, Algonquin Township has recycling programs for used oil and paint, plus recycling bins for aluminum and metal cans, glass bottles and jars (green, brown, or clear), plastic bottles, newspaper, cardboard and magazines. Hours will be 8 am to Noon next week and next month.

Gee, if I knew about this event, maybe I could have dropped off the stuff I've been collecting for the past several months.
Maybe if Ms. Moore spent more time doing her job and less time trying to rebrand herself, the public would know about the services and could make better use of them
Partly my fault. I knew about it but didn't get it transferred over to my calendar for a forward story.--ed.
