Protection Ordered Against Jailed Sex Offender

McHenry County authorities are seeking a permanent order of protection against a registered Joliet sex offender awaiting $50,000 bond in McHenry County Jail on a charge of Criminal Sexual Assault in unincorporated Algonquin.

McHenry County Deputies were called to a home in the 3100 block of East Bend Drive Sunday after 69 year-old Lewis S. Jackson allegedly assaulted a female family member.  Will County Deputies later located Jackson at his home.  He didn't make bail but two days later McHenry County Judge Thomas Meyer issued a temporary order of protection, anyway.  Jackson's scheduled for a preliminary hearing on the sexual assault charge Oct. 18.
