Nancy Jean Palcer, 58, of Hampshire, died at Delnor Hospital in Geneva. Visitation will be from 9:30 am until the time of Mass at 11 am Friday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Huntley. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery.
Palcer was born June 24, 1954, in Melrose Park, the daughter of Jack and Lois (Smith) Kartheiser. She married Jeffrey L. Palcer Aug. 30, 1975, in Winfield. She is survived by her husband of Hampshire; her children, Brian (Amber) Palcer of Battlement Mesa, CO, Abby Palcer of Schaumburg, Carolyn (Jason Karns) Palcer of Elgin, and Katlyn (Joe) Schwab of Pingree Grove; her grandchildren, Andrew and Tyler; her mother, Lois Kartheiser of Hampshire, and her siblings, Mary (Joe) Jedlovec of Warrenville, John Kartheiser and William (Peggy) Kartheiser, both of Hampshire, Susie (Rick) Sandberg of Oswego, Diane (Kevin) Keeney of Grand Rapids, MN, Tommy Kartheiser of Littleton, CO, Joany (Paul) Shankle of West Chicago, Patty Zeyen of Batavia and Teresa (Joe) Smagacz of West Chicago. She was preceded in death by her father and her granddaughters, Jordyn and Audrey.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
