Richard Strojny, 78, of Huntley died peacefully at his home Friday with his family by his side.
A gathering time will be Monday, from 4:30 to 7:30 pm at DeFiore Jorgensen Funeral Home, Huntley.
Strojny was born February 7, 1934, in Chicago, the son of Alex and Mary (Potempa) Strojny. He married Patricia Pouska in 1954. He is survived by his wife; his children, Michael (Laura) Strojny and Marie Braun, and his grandchildren, Tambi, Adam, Casey, Dan, Michaela and Taylor. He also is survived by his brother, Alex (Linda) Strojny.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the National Ataxia Foundation-2600 Fernbrook Lane, Minneapolis, MN 55447
