A Lake In the Hills resident's announcement he'll run for Grafton Township Road Commissioner over the weekend probably puts every Grafton office in play in February except, so far, Township clerk. Grafton Road District Highway Technician Tom Poznanski announced Sunday he'll seek to replace Jack Freund who's retiring next year. One other candidate is expected for Road Commissioner but he hasn't officially tossed his hat in the ring yet.
Freund said, "Tom has the experience, the knowhow, to be an effective servant to the people of Grafton Township. I have full confidence in him.”
Poznanski lists himself as a certified mechanic for 20 years and a truck driver for 20. He's head of the Grafton Republican Central Committee and lists LITH businessman Ken Cabay as his campaign manager.
