Lake In The Hills Resident Arrested On Drug Charges

McHenry County Sheriff Keith Nygren announced the result of a two-week narcotics investigation that netted a Lake in the Hills man and four others. Deputies reported they found heroin, marijuana, syringes, grinders and scales when they searched the home of Timothy R. Hastings at 535 Delaware Dr., LITH, Thursday. Nygren estimated the street value of the narcotics seized to be approximately $4,500.

Hastings, 28, is charged with to two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance, and possession of cannabis. Also arrested were 24 year-old Norman Brown, Chicago; Ishmael C. Bailey, 31, of Chicago; Joseph D. Whithair, 21, of Cary and Rahim B. Conda, 32, of Bloomington, all charged similarly.  Hastings also faces a Lake in the Hills charge lodged Thursday of witness harassment.

The investigation was a joint one including the Sheriff's Office and LITH PD, Nygren said.
