HFPD Board Picks Caudle For Fire Chief

Not much of a surprise, at least among area firefighters, the Huntley Fire Protection District Board of Trustees Tuesday announced Deputy Fire Chief Ken Caudle will take over from Chief Jim Saletta when he retires in two months.
Caudle a 25-year fire service veteran, 13 years with HFPD, has filled every rank and leadership role there, including Accreditation Manager when the District obtained its Accredited Fire Department Status in 2009 and Project Manager for construction of Huntley’s newest LEED-Certified Fire Station #4 in Algonquin.
