Visitors Blown Away At Huntley Artfest But This Year Not Literally

The weather favored artists and fans this year for the opening Day of Huntley's Artfest Saturday.  The "Field of Dreams" next to Main Street's First Congregational Church was filled with 50 artist exhibitors and lots of art lovers.

"The people are enjoying it and the music (at the main stage) helps a lot said water color artist Phyllis Allen from Huntley.  "I haven't been to the food vendors yet."

Exhibitors put on demonstrations and some did a brisk trade.  Jim and Debbie Rauschert, Lyle Lynn handcrafted jewelry artists from Algonquin said Artfest compared favorably with Algonquin's Art on The Fox last month.  That's where they heard about it.  "One of the organizers was handing out information about it," said Debbie.

Huntley's Artfest will continue today from 10 am to 4 pm.
