Obituary

Harry P. Pontarelli, Jr., 80, of Sun City, Huntley, died Tuesday morning at Sherman Hospital in Elgin following a short illness. Visitation will be held from 9:30 am until the time of the service at 11:30 Thursday at the DeFiore-Jorgensen Funeral Home, Huntley.  Burial will be in Huntley Cemetery.

Pontarelli was born October 30, 1931, in Chicago, the son of Harry P. and Maria (Pontarelli) Pontarelli Sr. On November 5, 1953, he married Patricia J. McPhee. He is survived by his wife, of Huntley; his daughters, Susan Pontarelli of Des Plaines, Paula (Robert) King of Huntley, and his grandchildren, Nicholas (Kellie) Miller and Angela Miller.  He was preceded in death by his brothers, George and Dominic.

 In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Retinitis Pigmentosa Foundation.
