Obituaries

Gisela Kuchar, 95, of Lake in the Hills died Thursday at her home. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm Sunday at the DeFiore-Jorgensen Funeral & Cremation Service, Huntley.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am with visitation one hour prior at 9:30 Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Huntley. A private entombment will be in All Saints Catholic Cemetery in Des Plaines.

Kuchar was born April 29, 1917 in Sudetanland, Czechoslovakia, the daughter of Rudolf and Anna (Schin) Hartl. On January 30, 1938 she married Anthony Kuchar. She is survived by her son, Erich W. (Janet) Kuchar of Camarillo, CA, and her daughter, Erika (Charles) Priester of Lake in the Hills; grandchildren, Lauren Johnson, Blake Kuchar, Erich Kuchar, Kristine Schnell, Paula Leis, George Priester II, Andrew Priester, and Antoinette Camardo, and her sisters, Margit Zahn of Belgium, Ilon Gambaite of Lithuania and Magda Seiler of Germany.  She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers and two sisters

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Foundation of Northeastern Illinois or St. Mary Catholic Church Building Fund.
