Obituaries

James Carlin, 69, of Algonquin died Saturday at Sherman Hospital. Visitation will be held today from  4 to 8 pm at DeFiore Jorgensen Funeral Home, Huntley.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am Thursday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Huntley.  Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Huntley.

Carlin was born March 13, 1943, the son of Edward and Catherine (Murphy) Carlin. He married Carol Barakso on February 19, 1965.  He is survived by his wife; his children, Jay (fiance Kelly) Carlin, Mike (Christine) Carlin and Suzanne (best friend Jim) Carlin, and his grandchildren, Kaitlin, Jessica, Ryan and Natalie. He was preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to a charity of choice.
