McHenry Child Sex Deputy Remains In Jail

A former McHenry County Deputy terminated Tuesday when he was arrested on new child sex and pornography charges agreed to remain in Boone County Jail Friday.  According to records, ex-sergeant Gregory Pyle, McHenry County's kidporn expert, also waived a preliminary hearing and Federal Magistrate P. Michael Mahoney set Sept. 6 for his next appearance.  Pyle's federal Public Defender could not be reached for comment Friday.

Pyle is scheduled to appear in McHenry County Circuit Court Sept. 10 to set a trail date on ten counts of child criminal sexual assault brought in January in what is thought to be a related case.
