Huntley Lib Summer Reading Biggest Yet

Huntley Area Public Library Summer Reading Programs were a huge success this year according to an after action report from librarians this week. A total of 3,859 readers signed up this year, the most ever, with participants logging over 30,000 Summer reading hours.

Readers won over 36,000 individual prizes and over 4,000 attended nearly 100 programs.  Children’s  grand-prize winners were Abbey L., Max S., Audrey D., Ava B., Angelica F., Maritza S., Olivia A., Cade C., Valerie G., Mason B., Kyle R. and Madison J. Young Adult grand-prize winners were Zoe A., Deena V., Lumi J. and Sydney W. Adult grand-prize winners were Amy B., Doreen C. and Diane B. HAPL withholds full last names in the reading programs but the kids deserve some sort of recognition, anyway.
