Police arrested an Algonquin woman for a somewhat bizarre knifepoint holdup of a farm stand in Crystal Lake Thursday. Now in McHenry County Jail awaiting bond is Amy M. Migliorato, 28, of 5 Arrowhead Drive.
Crystal Lake Police said Thursday afteroon a heavyset woman brandishing a knife stole the day's sales money at Cody's Farm Fresh Stand on Route 14 and ran away. The stand's only been open for three weeks. Police said, based on a description, they traced a suspect to a nearby CL motel and got a search warrant for her room where they said they found "evidence further linking the suspect to the incident."
Migliorato's due in McHenry County Circuit Court next Friday next Friday, charged with felony robbery.
