Pink Pancakes In Algonquin To Help Fight Cancer Thursday

Algonquin's Colonial Cafe will sell pink pancakes for a penny (with a beverage purchase) Thursday to help a local team of walkers meet their goal of raising $9,200 to cure breast cancer.

The Algonquin-based "Rack Pack" will be among the teams in the Susan G. Komen three-day 60-mil Chicago walk against cancer Aug. 10 through 12. IN mileage, it's the longest event of its kind in the country.  The four-member team will be at the Colonial entrance seeking donation Thursday while waitstaff are busy inside serving "Cakes For A Cure" for a penny.
