Obituaries

William J. Stogsdill, 84, of Huntley died Tuesday following a lengthy illness. Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 pm today and from 9:30 am until the service at 10:30 am Saturday at the DeFiore-Jorgensen Funeral Home, Huntley.  Burial will be in Hampshire Township Cemetery.

Stogsdill was born May 25, 1928, in Salem, IN, the son of William and Ona (Chastain) Stogsdill. He is survived by his wife, Gloria; his son, William J. (Karen) Stogsdill; daughters, Suzan B. (Homer) Joy, Brae Hanson and Lisa Marie Berndt; his grandchildren, Morgan Stogsdill-Albrecht (Tim), William J. Stogsdill, Tracy O’Brien, Taryn O’Brien, Cory O'Brien and Kyle O’Brien.  He was preceded in death by his sister, Helen Sowa, and his grandson, Kelly O’Brien.
