Obituaries

Thomas J. Barkley, 83,  of Lake in The Hills, died at his home Wednesday. Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 pm Friday at the DeFiore-Jorgensen Funeral & Cremation Service, Huntley, and Saturday from 9 until 10 am,  the time of Mass at St. Mary Catholic Church, Huntley.  Burial will take place later at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Palatine.

Barkley was born May 5, 1929, in Chicago, the son of Al and Veronica (Duffy) Barkley. On September 23, 1950 he married Jo Notaro whom he had known since the 5th grade. He is survived by her; his children, Donna (Lou) Agoston of Northville, MI, Thomas (Deedee) Barkley of Lake Forest, Nancy (Gary) Halls of Rochester Hills, MI and and Mary Jo (Thomas) Pausteck of Barrington Hills, and 11 grandchildren, Lauren, Leigha, Caitlin, Stephanie, Melissa, Allison, Jennifer, Julie, Joanna, Jessica and Scott.  Thomas was preceded in death by his sister, Lucille, and his brother, Paul.
