Proceeds from Huntley Rotary Club's roast corn booth at LITH's Rockin' Ribfest early this month will help pay for a visit from the Northern Illinois Food Bank Mobile Food Pantry next Saturday. Rotarians will help unload and distribute 5 tons of food at the Grafton Food Pantry, 12191-B Smith Drive, Huntley. from 10 am until Noon.
The truck will contain meat, fresh produce, cleaning supplies, and other material to help struggling local families, of whom there are many. The Grafton Food Pantry serves more than 200 families each month but anyone needing assistance is welcome at the Mobile Food Pantry visit. The corn booth isn't Huntley Rotary's only support for the Grafton Pantry. In November the group will be selling citrus fruit in a holiday fundraiser, too.
