LITH Police Break Up Large Underage Drinking Party

Lake in the Hills Police broke up the biggest underage drinking party in recent collective memory Saturday evening.  An anonymous phone complaint brought police to a home in the 300 block of Cedar Creek Drive at about 11 pm where they found one nominal adult, 15 minors and a juvenile, all from Lake in the Hills, Huntley, Crystal Lake, Woodstock and Algonquin, imbibing.

LITH Sergeant Chris Miller this morning said the owners of the residence weren't present at the party and reported it hadn't gotten completely out of hand when police arrived.  "We didn't have to transport anyone to the hospital," he said.

The 21 year-old adult and 18 year-old minor were charged with hosting. All but the adult were charged with underage drinking and everyone was issued notices to appear in Lake in the Hills Municipal Court.  The juvenile was released to his parents' custody.   The names of those involved are listed below in Police Blotters.
