Giant Photo, "Huntley Days" Sales To Celebrate Rt. 47 Finish

With the finishing touches to Route 47 widening complete, the Village of Huntley and the Huntley Chamber of Commerce, the Park District and American Community Bank & Trust Monday announced a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Deicke Park July 17 to mark the official finish of the two-year project.

The ceremony, including what's hoped to be the biggest group photo in Huntley's history, is scheduled to run from 5:30 to 6 pm followed by light refreshments.  An hour later Beatles tribute band BritBeat will be on hand for the second of four Summer Concerts In The Park until 8:30 pm.

Meanwhile, starting July 15, Huntley Chamber members as planning a week of "Huntley Days" specials to celebrate the end of the widening project which impeded local shopping.
