Huntley Board Honors Community Emergency Volunteers

The Huntley Village Board this week took a moment to recognize residents who've taken CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) training to get ready for a real disaster.  Trustee John Piwko who's also the Huntley CERT head lauded his team for preparing "to assist when safety professional responders aren't able to help."

2010 participants included Thomas Knawa, Sean Smith, Charles Mallett, Linda Fiore-Lipse, Frances Russo and Donald McLeod. 2011 Participants were Harold Beagle, Shirley Beagle, Ed Frazier, Eric Gustafson, Jay Howard, Laurel Larkin, Noel Medina, Ellen Muradian, Catherine Portera, Arleen Terdina, Janet Verri and Bob and Joyce Wold and Mark and Mary Woodrick.
