Algonquin Astros Win Pony League Championship

The Algonquin Area Youth Organization Astros are still pumped after wining the first-ever joint Pony League (13 to 15 year-olds) Championship this weekend. It's the first year the AAYO and Lake in the Hills Youth Athletic Association merged to form a single league.

 Five LITH teams and four Algonquin ones duked it out at Algonquin's Presidential Park and LITH's Sunset Park before the Astros (9-7 regular season, 3-0 playoffs) defeated the LITH Athletics, 19-5 at Sunset Saturday.
