Sun City Residents Meet To Fight Property Taxes

Discontent about property taxes simmered Friday as dozens of residents from Sun City met at the Huntley Park District Rec Center for a seminar on how to do residential assessment appeals.  Grafton Township 2011 assessments have been published and the deadline to put in an appeal is Oct. 3.

RE/MAX Sales Associate and Grafton Sun City resident Rob Auld led the meeting with information from a database on sales of Sun City models  he's compiled for Grafton, Rutland and Hampshire Township properties.

Kane County Rutland Township assessments haven't been published yet but they're expected in the next two weeks.
