Kids Best Elders At Huntley Run Thru Sun

The Huntley Youth Sports Organization's Run Thru the Sun separated the men from the boys Sunday.  Especially the 5k race only the way the separation worked, the boys generally cleaned their elders' clocks.

LITH's 13-year old Keagan Smith was first across the line followed by 15-year old Kyle Ward, also from LITH, in third,  Ricky Raclawski, Algonquin in sixth and 14 year-old Matthew Kitsis, LITH in tenth place.  The rest of the top 10 featured male and female duffers ranging in age from 32 to 49.  There were 180 entrants in the 5K race.

The somewhat mature set fared better in the 10K race, however.  Huntley's 16-year old Ricky Lopez was the only teen in the top then there, albeit in second place.  On the other hand, two 11-year olds, Kayla Ehrenhaft from Crystal Lake and Adam Davis from Huntley were in the top 15 of about 100
