Coming down to next Tuesday's wire, McHenry County State Rep. Jack D. Franks (D-63) endorsed Democratic gubernatorial candidate Dan Hynes this week.
Franks' support for Hynes boiled down to his not being Pat Quinn. Franks said he personally likes the Governor but, "Quinn’s budget team is complete with Blagojevich Administration holdovers that put our state on the brink of fiscal disaster. We all know Quinn is the accidental Governor. Unfortunately, his poor choice in budget oversight proves him to be the incompetent Governor as well.”
“Dan Hynes is a candidate who will help remake our government," Franks said.
