Sponsors for Lake in the Hills' Festival of Trees have been busy this week decorating their evergreens for Saturday's opening event. Thursday Linda Keyes (left) and Diane Magerko from the District 300 Foundation trimmed their group's tree under leaden skies. "It's cold," said a grinning Keyes stuffing her hands in her armpits.
The Foundation is selling student-designed Christmas cards, by the way, to raise funds for its activities to support the district. Each package of note cards contains (10) ten assorted cards. The cost for each package is $15.00. Here's what one looks like. You can see the rest and order them here:
